Evaluación del potencial existente para la generación de biogás en la comunidad autónoma del País Vasco

Abstract

[ES]La Directiva europea 2008/98/CE sobre el tratamiento de residuos agrícolas y urbanos, estableció una nueva forma de entender la gestión y el tratamiento de los residuos en la Unión Europea (UE). En este documento se tienen en cuenta la legislación vigente y otras publicaciones, con el objetivo de evaluar el potencial de biogás a partir de residuos ricos en materia orgánica (MO) en el ámbito territorial del País Vasco (CAPV). La evaluación del potencial en términos de potencia, incluye la determinación de los residuos disponibles y el coeficiente de generación de biogás, además de los cálculos para distintos potenciales basados en criterios de exclusión. Como resultado, se estima que potencial disponible de biogás en la CAPV es de 30 millones de ktep/año.

Gradu amaierako lan honek, maila ezberdinetako legediaz gain, beste hainbat dokumentuz baliatzen da, Euskal Autonomia Erkidegoko (EAE) hondakin organikoen biogas potentziala ebaluatu ahal izateko. Biogas potentzialaren ebaluaketak aukerazko hondakinen kopurua zehaztea eskatzen du, baita hondakin bakoitzaren biogas sorkuntza koefizientea ere. Gainera, lanean kalkulatzen diren beste potentzialen kalkuluak egin ahal izateko, zenbait irizpide ezarri dira. Emaitza modura, EAEn eskuragarri dagoen biogas potentziala 30 millioi ktep/urtekoa da.

[EN]In the year 2008, due to the European Directive 2008/98/CE, the treatment of solid urban and rural wastes established important references in the environmental policies for the treatment and management of organic waste all over the European Union (EU). This document is based on legislation from different backgrounds and some other official documents, in order to evaluate the potential production of biogas from organic wastes in the Community of the Basque Country. The evaluation of the potential production of biogas, in terms of power generation, includes an estimation of the produced waste amount and the determination of the biogas generation rates. In addition for the calculus of the different potentials, individual availability coefficients are estimated, based on selected criteria. As a result, around 30 million ktep/year are estimated to be the available biogas potential for the Community of the Basque Country.
