Crisis de Europa, no de las personas refugiadas

Abstract

[ESP] El discurso público mediático habla de la "Crisis de Los Refugiados", cuando en realidad lo que existe es una crisis en términos humanitarios, provocada en gran medida por la actitud que están adoptando los países de la Unión Europea en la gestión de la mi sma. En el siguiente artículo se describen los orígenes de esta situación poniendo el foco en la foto del niño sirio Aylan Kurdi, que conmocionó a toda la sociedad. Desde entonces y hasta ahora, la actitud de la UE en el reparto por países de las personas refugiadas ha sido totalmente insuficiente, teniendo en cuenta las llegadas diarias a Europa de personas que huyen de sus hogares por diferentes motivos de persecución.

[ENG] The Media discourse speaks of "Refugee crisis", when in fact there is a crisis in humanitarian terms, caused largely by the attitude t hat the countries of the European Union are adopting when they manage this issue. The following article describes the origins of this situation by putting the focus on the photo of the Syrian child Aylan Kurdi, who shocked the whole society. From then unti l now, the attitude of the EU in the allocation by country of refugees has been totally inadequate, given the daily arrivals to Europe of people fleeing from their homes due to different kinds of persecution.
