La desigualdad en Euskadi y España en un contexto europeo

En este trabajo se analiza la desigualdad económica en España y Euskadi. Cuando hablamos de desigualdad, se suele tomar como referencia la desigualdad de la renta, cuya evolución en los últimos años se analiza en este trabajo detalladamente. Sin embargo, con la voluntad de dar una imagen más amplia de la realidad de la desigualdad, también analizaremos la desigualdad en la distribución del consumo y de la riqueza, además de otros conceptos estrechamente relacionados con la desigualdad como la movilidad social y la pobreza. Se muestran datos recientes extraídos de fuentes fiables y referenciadas, que nos acercan a la realidad vasca y española en un contexto internacional y sobre todo europeo. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que a pesar de tener resultados moderados en consumo y riqueza, la alta desigualdad de la renta y la baja movilidad social en España es preocupante. Euskadi, sin embargo, se sitúa en niveles similares a los países europeos más igualitarios.
