Diseño de productos de alto impacto estratégico en el modelo de negocio de las organizaciones públicas El caso de la Universidad del País Vasco

Abstract
Las instituciones universitarias de propiedad pública, como lo es la Universidad del País Vasco (UPV/EHU), afrontan importantes retos relacionados con el Marketing, como lo es la apuesta por la innovación de su cartera de productos. Las características de sus usuarios han cambiado (las llamadas “nuevas generaciones”), la competencia, principalmente la privada, incorpora con rapidez nuevas ofertas formativas y frente a estos grandes cambios, los recursos universitarios siguen excesivamente especializados en un modelo empresarial dominado por la actividad investigadora. La Facultad de Economía y Empresa (FEE) no es ajena a estos retos y, de hecho, lleva casi 20 años incorporando el uso de juegos en sus aulas de manera puntual.
¿Resulta utópico pensar, que las instituciones universitarias públicas, como la UPV/EHU, podrían mejorar el cumplimiento de su misión y objetivos (empresariales), mediante la aplicación de los conocimientos que la literatura más actual (Lean Innovation: Paradigm & Tools) nos aporta, sobre la innovación de impacto estratégico, en el diseño de nuevos productos educativos? En este trabajo, utilizaremos la secuencia básica del paradigma Lean Startup, de innovación y emprendimiento (Entender, Diseñar y Validar) y una de sus herramientas más utilizadas (Business Model Canvas), de cara a mostrar un caso real, de diseño de productos educativos, de alto impacto potencial estratégico en una organización pública.
