Los ecos de la realidad: miedo y paranoia en el cine fantástico estadounidense del siglo XXI

Abstract

The cinema, as mass media, reflects and propagates values present in the reality even in the genres that, in appearance, move away more of it. The present article proposes a cataloguing and study of the American productions of the fantastic film genre that, throughout century XXI, have echo of a political, social and ethical situation specially influenced by the attacks of the 11 of September of 2001 and its later consequences. The analysis investigates, in addition, in the sources that use films to create sensations of restlessness and fear.; El cine, como medio de comunicación que es, refleja y propaga valores presentes en la realidad incluso en los géneros que, en apariencia, más se alejan de ella. El presente artículo propone una catalogación y estudio de las producciones estadounidenses del género fantástico que, en lo que va de siglo XXI, se han hecho eco de una situación política, social y ética especialmente influida por los atentados del 11 de septiembre de 2001 y sus consecuencias ulteriores. Artikulu honek Estatu Batuetako fantasiazko generoko produkzio batzuen katalogazioa eta azterketa proposatzen du, 2001. irailaren 11ko atentatuek eta beren ondorioek bereziki eragindako errealitate politiko, sozial eta etikoa islatzen duten filmen azterketa hain zuzen ere. Horrez gain, egonezin eta ikara sentipenak sortzeko filmek erabiltzen dituzten iturrietan arakatzen da.
