[EN] In Social Welfare, we need to be able to open up different areas and deepen into those that are previously open. This investigation, was intended to examine the conditions of life of women in jails in the Spanish State. In other words, female prisoners have been investigated for the change in conditions of life in prison, for characteristics and for the various processes they may undergo. In order to accomplish this, a qualitative methodology has been used which has been the instrument of conversation. Results show that, in the jails of the Spanish State, the living conditions of women in different fields (education, formation, hygiene, leisure) are completely inadequate.
