Paciente con traumatismo craneoencefálico grave en la unidad de reanimación: a propósito de un caso

[ES] Introducción: El traumatismo craneoencefálico se ha convertido en un problema de salud público ya que supone una causa importante de mortalidad e incapacidad a nivel mundial. Así pues, el paciente con traumatismo craneoencefálico grave es característico por su complejidad y requiere unos cuidados especializados para su recuperación. Por ello, es fundamental los conocimientos sobre la valoración, la fisiopatología, la monitorización y la aplicación de unas medidas terapéuticas adecuadas para ofrecer una asistencia de calidad y segura al paciente.
Objetivo: Desarrollar un plan de cuidados integral e individualizado para mejorar la situación y recuperación de un paciente con diagnóstico de traumatismo craneoencefálico severo en la unidad de reanimación tras craniectomía descompresiva por presencia de hematoma epidural.
Metodología: Para la realización de este plan de cuidados individualizado se toma como referencia el marco teórico de Virginia Henderson (modelo de suplencia y ayuda) y su teoría de las 14 necesidades . Así mismo, como marco conceptual se utiliza el modelo de los 11 patrones funcionales de Marjory Gordon para la realización de la valoración del paciente. Además, la aplicación de la metodología enfermera contribuye a identificar y a enunciar los diagnósticos enfermeros (NANDA), los resultados (NOC) e intervenciones (NIC). Dichas taxonomías se interrelacionan a través del lenguaje universal enfermero (NNN) para elaborar el pan de cuidados individualizado. Una vez se obtenga las interrelaciones NNN, se ejecuta y se evalúa el plan de cuidados.
