La cartografía artística como medio visual de reflexión para comprender la realidad

Abstract

In this paper we approach the research and creation of artistic cartographies as a therapeutic process and as a visual communication medium, but also as an effective educational methodology to reflect on and understand the reality, both individual and collective. For this purpose, we have carried out a study and analysis of three contemporary art projects in which we have worked, through drawing and painting practice, with textile techniques and materials such as: “Mappa” (Map) by Alighiero e Boetti, “Tirar del hilo” (Pulling the thread) by Sonia Navarro and “Guía psycogeográfica” (Psycogeographic guide) of the self-authored. A selection of artistic cartographies that, as references (artistic, conceptual and technical), help us to understand and learn the symbolic connotations of maps, colors, shapes and materials used in these works of art, which also generate knowledge (artistic and intellectual) with a strong reflective and critical sense.; En el presente trabajo se aborda la investigación y creación de cartografías artísticas como proceso terapéutico y como medio de comunicación visual, pero también como metodología educativa efectiva para reflexionar y comprender la realidad, tanto individual como colectiva. Para ello, se ha realizado un estudio y análisis de tres proyectos de arte contemporáneo en los que se ha trabajado, a través del dibujo y la práctica pictórica, con técnicas y materiales textiles como son: “Mappa” (Mapa) de Alighiero e Boetti, “Tirar del hilo” de Sonia Navarro y “Guía psycogeográfica” de autoría propia. Una selección de cartografías artísticas que, a modo de referentes (artísticos, conceptuales y técnicos), nos ayudan a comprender y aprender las connotaciones simbólicas de los mapas, los colores, las formas y los materiales utilizados en estas obras de arte, las cuales también generan conocimiento (artístico e intelectual) con un fuerte sentido reflexivo y crítico.
