Observaciones sobre IGUR III 1427*

Abstract

This paper presents a new proposal for the interpretation of the bilingual (Greek-latin) epigraphic poem, which Moretti labelled as IGUR iii 1427, discovered in rome and already in a fragmentary state. as will be pointed out throughout the document, the readings proposed are hypothetical and are not intended to be absolute, for the remaining text is no more than a third of the original inscription. Furthermore, some issues related to the possible origin of the deceased individual, whose name is not witnessed in the preserved epigraph, will be discussed based on the information which can be inferred from this piece in its entirety.; En este trabajo se presenta una nueva edición del poema epigráfico bilingüe (griego-latín) que Moretti catalogó como IGUR III 1427, encontrado en Roma y ya en estado fragmentario. Las lecturas propuestas, tal como se indicará a lo largo del documento, son hipotéticas y no tienen intención de ser absolutas, pues el texto conservado no supone más de una tercera parte de la inscripción original. Asimismo, se comentarán algunos aspectos relativos al posible origen del difunto, cuyo nombre no está atestiguado en el epígrafe que ha perdurado, con base en la información que se puede desprender de esta pieza en su totalidad.
