[EN]The aim of this project is to get to know the differences between two mechanical surface treatments known as “Shot Peening” and “Low Plasticity Burnishing”. Both of them are surface treatments that imply the appearance of compressive residual stresses in machine elements, that improve their fatigue life. The way to study the differences between the processes will be accomplished based on the Basquin curve and analyzing the obtained results. Besides, an statistical analysis will be carried out, checking the effect of the use of more or less testing tubes for each case. The statistical analysis will be performed using Microsoft Excel, by adding or erasing values from the calculated ones during the tests. [EU]Proiektu honen helburua bi gainazal tratamendu mekanikoen artean dauden ezberdintasunak ulertzea da, hauek Shot Peening-a eta Low Plasticity Burnish-a izanda. Biek makinen osagaietan tentsio residualak agertzea eragiten dute, honekin haien neke bizitza hobetzen. Prozesuen artean dauden diferentziak ikertzeko, Basquin-eko kurbaren bitartez egingo da, emaitzak konparatuz. Gainera, analisi estatistiko bat egingo da, probeta gehiago edo gutxiago erabiltzea zein eragina duen ikertuz. Horretarako eta Excel erabiliz, log-normal eta Weibull diagramen joera frogatuz.
