dc.description.abstract[EN] This chapter presents the female author Annelies Schwarz (1938), who belongs to the generation of displaced German children after WWII, and her work to the Spanish-speaking readership. Her childhood was strongly determined by the displacement of her family from Czech territory to Western Germany, with the consequent loss of home and search for new places to feel safe and build a new future. Her coming to terms with the vulnerability, insecurity and trauma experienced as a seven-year-old girl lead her as an adult woman to write children literature as a way of nurturing open minds that are, and will be, confronted to conflicts, interculturality and strangeness. After a section about her biography, her work and her literary approach to Heimat, selected passages of her works have been translated into Spanish.en
