Para una historia del monte y del bosque en la Guipúzcoa bajomedieval: los seles. Titularidad, formas de cesión y de explotación

Abstract

[FR] Les "seles" sont des espaces privés entourés par aires de montaigne et fórets communales. L' article suggere qu' ils sont un témoin des processus d' appropriation des aires de fóret et montagne dans les mains de gens puissants. Ils sont, aussi, un guide excellente pour nous orienter dans l'étude de l'exploitation de ces aires. L'objectif de ces lignes est de prendre comme reference les "seles" de Guipúzcoa, réfléchir sur les proccessus d'individualisation et appropriation des aires de montagne et de fóret et aussi sur l'explotation profit du XIVème siecle jusqu'au XVIème siecle. Le travail est divisé en trois parties: les caractéristiques formelles et la titularité des "seles", les formes de cession et d'exploitation, et l'évolution de chacun de ces aspects le long de la periode signalée.

[EN] The "seles" are private spaces surrounded by mountain areas and communal forest. This article suggests that they are evidence of the appropriation of forest and mountain spaces by the powerful. The "seles" also serve as an excellent guide to orientate the study of the utilization of those spaces. Taking as its reference the "seles" of Guipuzcoa, this article reflects on the processes of individualization and appropriation of mountain and forest spaces, as well as their utilization from the 14th to the 16th centuries. It is structured into three parts: the formal characteristics of the "seles", their ownership, and the forms of transfer and development. Finally, the evolution of each of these three aspects during the period indicated is considered.
