Notas a una oscura inscripción de la Bética (CIL II2/ 5, 510a): una interpretación lingüística y religiosa

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to read, interpret and contextualize an obscure Christian inscription of the fourth century AD from Fernán Núñez (Córdoba province) (CIL II 2/ 5, 510a). With this target in mind, my work gives an interpretation that can disclose new means to decipher seven of its twelve lines. Furthermore, from the analysis of the invocatory formulas of its first two lines, it has been concluded that its sources go back to the Acts of Thomas (20-24) and the Tale of Susanna (Dan. 13), texts known and used by Pris cillia nus and his followers. Hence, according to my hypothesis, the origin of this epigraph could be either related to the presence of an early Priscillianism in the Baetica or, at least, to the religious background on which this movement was established.; El propósito del presente trabajo es el de leer, interpretar y contextualizar una oscura defixio cristiana del siglo iv procedente de Fernán Núñez (prov. de Córdoba) (CIL II2/ 5, 510a). Así pues, hemos realizado una lectura que puede abrir vías para interpretar siete de sus doce líneas. Por otra parte, a partir del análisis de las fórmulas invocatorias de sus dos primeras líneas, hemos concluido que sus fuentes remontan a los Hechos de Tomás (20-24) y al relato de Susana (Dan. 13), textos ambos conocidos y empleados por Prisciliano y sus seguidores. De ahí que, según nuestra hipótesis, el origen de este epígrafe podría estar relacionado con la presencia en la Bética de un priscilianismo temprano o al menos asociado al fermento religioso sobre el que se asentó este movimiento.
