Abstract

The Spanish television system have suffered many changes during the last decade. The launching of the television stations of the diverse autonomous areas, first, and the presence of the private stations, afterwards, have brought an earthquake in the previous situation. Now the prime-time is the battle field in the ferocious fight for rating points. This atittude have carried many changes in the contents of the programmes and, in general, in the programs scheduling of most of the television stations. We will study more in depth the case of the Basque National Television Stations, but always giving information about the general framework of the Spanish television panorama.
