Las cartas al director como género periodístico

Abstract

Within the specialized literature about the journalism genres, the reference to the letters to the editor has been commonly suppressed or they have been considered as a minor genre. For example, Yanes (2004) considers them a genre added to the journalism and therefore, unconnected with it. Vilamor, on the other hand, (s.f.) considers them as the only way to establish a communicative exchange between the readers and the press. Thus, in the present paper, the status of journalism genre of the letters to the editor will be discussed, checking and using the own authors arguments that have theorized about the journalism genres.; En la bibliografía especializada acerca de los géneros periodísticos, comúnmente la referencia a las cartas al director se ha suprimido o se las ha considerado como un género menor.Por ejemplo, Yanes (2004) las considera como anexas al periodismo y, por ello, ajenas a éste. En cambio, Vilamor (s.f.) rescata su importancia al tomarlas como el único medio en que se puede establecer un intercambio comunicativo entre los lectores y la prensa. Así, en el presente trabajo se discutirá el estatus de las cartas al director como género periodístico, revisando y utilizando los propios argumentos de los autores que han teorizado acerca de los géneros periodísticos.; Kazetari-generoari buruzko bibliografia espezializatuan ez dago zuzendariari idatzitako gutunei buruz, edo bigarren mailako generotzat jo izan dira historikoki. Adibidez, Yanes-ek (2004) kazetaritzari erantsitakoak jotzen ditu eta, ondorioz, berarekin zerikusirik ez dutelakoan dago. Vilamor-ek (f.g.), berriz, beren garrantzia berreskuratzen du irakurleen eta prentsaren arteko komunikazio-trukaketa egiteko bitartekari bakartzat hartzen baitu. Beraz, lan honetan zuzendariari idatzitako gutunek kazetari-genero gisa duten statusari buruz eztabaidatzen da, kazetari-generoei buruz teorizatu duten adituen argudioak berrikusi eta erabilita.
