Me escuchan, luego existo: pioneras de ‘lo sonoro’

Abstract

Throughout history, society has remained in a patriarchal scheme in which men and their achievements stand out, silencing the women who played an important role in their time and leaving them in the shade for years, decades and even centuries. In the field of Art it was not going to be different and, despite that women have had a constant presence as artists or crafts women throughout the History of the Art, it continues being noticed its absence in the museums and in the artistic encyclopedias relegating them back to a single role of muses or models of the male artists. In the area of ’the sound’, despite being relatively new, women also found it difficult to demonstrate their creativity, talent and professionalism in this discipline that turns whoever enters into an ‘entity bicephalous’. So with this article today we want to pay a small tribute to those women who fought to open a gap in this world of ‘the sound’ and that made for us a little easier to belong to it today; A lo largo de la Historia la sociedad se ha mantenido en un esquema patriarcal en el que destacan los hombres y sus logros, silenciando a las mujeres que tuvieron un papel importante en su época y dejándolas en la sombra durante años, décadas e incluso siglos. En el campo del Arte no iba a ser diferente y, a pesar de que las mujeres han tenido una presencia constante como artistas o artesanas a lo largo de toda la Historia del Arte, sigue notándose su ausencia en los museos y en las enciclopedias artísticas relegándolas de nuevo a un único papel de musas o modelos de los artistas masculinos de entonces. En el ámbito de ‘lo sonoro’2, a pesar de ser algo relativamente nuevo, también las mujeres se encontraron con dificultades a la hora de querer demostrar su creatividad, talento y profesionalidad en esta disciplina que convierte a quien se adentra en ella en un ‘ser bicéfalo’3. Por ello con este artículo queremos hoy rendir un pequeño homenaje a aquellas mujeres que lucharon por abrirse un hueco en este mundo de ‘lo sonoro’ y que hicieron que para nosotras hoy pertenecer a él sea un poco más fácil.
