La danza butoh: ética y estética del cuerpo volcado hacia afuera

Abstract

Desde la primera filosofía se nos ha hecho creer que el sentido de la vida se halla fuera de nosotros. No tenemos cuerpo, sino que somos cuerpo y es en él donde se debe rastrear la memoria colectiva del ser humano. Debemos retornar al propio cuerpo dejando que exprese sus sueños y su locura. Solo ante el arte el hombre trasciende, pues conecta emoción y cognición convirtiendo el cuerpo que sufre en terreno privilegiado para la reflexión y la representación de nuestra propia identidad individual y social. La danza no puede ser reducida al mero esfuerzo físico o al cuerpo visible, debe ser entendida como punto de partida, como eudaimonía. En el butoh el cuerpo se asoma a sus abismos para renacer cada vez que uno danza. Según Heidegger, la salvación, si existe, solo puede estar dentro de nosotros.
