Violencia política e izquierda revolucionaria en el Tardofranquismo y la Transición española. Discursos y prácticas (1968-1980)

Abstract

The Spanish Transition from Franco dictatorship to democracy was strongly troubled by numerous episodes of political violence. The revolutionary left organizations, important political figures during the process of democratization, were not stranger to this phenomenon. Their own origin, marked by the convulsive world context of the 68 and by the repressive nature of the Franco regime, largely conditioned their theories, discourses and practices regarding violence as a political tool throughout the 1970s. The development of the Transition, on the other hand, also modified the perspectives of these organizations about, among other issues, political violence. Although not all of these political parties had the same development in this regard, the truth is that they had at all times the issue of violence, whether to criticize, defend, condemn or practice it.; La Transición española de la dictadura franquista a la democracia estuvo fuertemente marcada por numerosos episodios de violencia política. Las organizaciones de la izquierda revolucionaria, actores relevantes durante el proceso de democratización, no estuvieron ajenas a ese fenómeno. Su propio origen, marcado por el convulso contexto mundial del 68 y por la naturaleza represiva del régimen de Franco, condicionó en gran medida sus teorizaciones, discursos y prácticas respecto a la violencia como herramienta política a lo largo de los años 70. El desarrollo de la Transición, por su parte, también modificó las perspectivas de estas organizaciones acerca, entre otras cuestiones, de la violencia política. Si bien no todos estos partidos experimentaron la misma evolución al respecto, lo cierto es que tuvieron en todo momento presente la cuestión de la violencia, ya fuera para criticarla, defenderla, condenarla o practicarla
