Derecho y retórica Roma: Cicerón y la I Catalinaria

Abstract

[ES] El objetivo principal de este Trabajo Fin de Grado consiste en analizar la I Catilinaria, uno de los discursos más reconocidos de la historia. Para ello, centraremos nuestro estudio en la República Romana, y analizaremos la importancia de la retórica y el derecho en dicha época. Posteriormente, investigaremos la figura de los dos protagonistas de dicho discurso: Cicerón, cónsul del Senado y gran orador, y Catilina, responsable de una conjuración contra el Senado.

[EUS] Gradu Amaierako Lan Honen helburu nagusia I Catilinaria aztertzean datza, historiako hitzaldi ezagunenetako bat. Horretarako, Erromatarren Republikan jarriko dugu arreta, eta garai hartan erretorikaren eta zuzenbidearen garrantzia aztertuko dugu. Ondoren, hitzaldi honetako bi protagonisten irudia ikerkuto dugu: Cicerón, senatuko konsul eta hizlari handia, eta Catilina, Senatuaren aurkako konjurazio baten arduraduna.

[EN] The objective of this end-of-degree project consist on analyzing the I Catilinaria, one of the most famous discourses of all time. For this, we will focus our study on the Roman Republic and we will analyze the importance of rethoric and law in that time. Later, we will investigate the figure of the two protagonists of this discourse: Cicerón, consul of the Senate and a great orator, and Catilina, responsible for a conspiracy against the Senate.
