Las hormigas como herramienta para integrar la alfabetización científica en el aula de Educación Infantil

Abstract

[ES] Mediante este documento se pretende subrayar la importancia de la alfabetización científica durante los años de enseñanza obligatoria, haciendo hincapié en la edad de 5 años, teniendo muy presente la experimentación, la indagación y la conversación científica. Para ello describe un contexto educativo que se basa principalmente en el cuidado de las hormigas, tomando como referencia el pensamiento pedagógico de la Escuela Nueva. El objetivo de la propuesta consiste en fomentar la adquisición de hábitos del trabajo científico a la vez que se intenta mejorar el modelo de insecto de los niñas y niñas con los que se ha llevado a cabo. Para propiciar un aprendizaje significativo y efectivo, el cual permita activar saberes diversos en otras situaciones de la vida donde fueran necesarias, se ha considerado en todo momento la progresión de las Grandes Ideas de la Educación en Ciencias, por lo que se puede decir que este trabajo pretende ser una iniciación en estas.

[EN] This document aims to underline the importance of scientific literacy during the years of compulsory education, with emphasis on the age of 5 years, with experimentation, enquiry, and scientific conversation in mind. To this end, it describes an educational context based mainly on the care of ants, taking as a reference the pedagogical thinking of the Escuela Nueva. The objective of the proposal is to encourage the acquisition of scientific work habits while at the same time trying to improve the insect model of the children with whom it has been carried out. In order to promote meaningful and effective learning, which allows for the activation and application of diverse knowledge in other life situations where it is necessary, the progression of the Big Ideas of Science Education has been considered at all times, so it can be said that this work is intended to be a kind of initiation into these.

[EUS] Dokumentu honen bidez alfabetatze zientifikoaren garrantzia azpimarratu nahi da derrigorrezko hezkuntzan, esperimentazioa, ikerketa eta elkarrizketa zientifikoa kontuan hartuta. Horretarako, inurrien zaintzan oinarritzen den eta 5 urteko adinari zehazki zuzenduta dagoen hezkuntza-testuingurua deskribatzen du lan honek, Eskola Berriaren ikuspuntua erreferentzia gisa hartuz. Proposamenaren helburua lan zientifikoaren ohituren lorpena sustatzea da, eta, aldi berean, haurrek duten intsektu-eredua hobetzea edo sortzea.
