[EUS] Hezkuntza eta euskara. Argi dago bi kontzeptu ezberdin direla, bakoitzak bere esanahi eta
ezaugarriak baititu. Baina, biak izan dira betidanik aztertuak bai soziolinguistikaren eta baita
euskalgintzaren esparruan ere. Beraz, badute zerbait komunean. Hori horrela, kontzeptu
horiek, eztabaida ugari ekarri izan dizkigute gure gizartera; izan ere, Euskal Autonomia
Erkidegoan, hezkuntza eta euskara batera baitoaz. Hori horrela izatea, gaur egun, alde batetik,
hezkuntzak euskalduna izan behar duela usteak egiten du, baina beste alde batetik, haurrek
euskara ardatz izanik, elebidun edota eleanitz izateko helburuak ere eragina du, geroz eta
garrantzia handiagoa baitu eleaniztasunak. Alabaina, egoera batzuetan, arrazoi ezberdinak
medio, euskararen trataera ez da uste bezain ona; agian, kalitatea ez da eskatzen den mailara
iristen ez irakasleen aldetik, ezta haurren aldetik ere. Edota agian, gaztelera bezalako
hizkuntza handi baten eragina nabaria da, euskara ia guztiz zapalduz. Kezka eta zalantza
horiek guztiak alde batera uzteko eta aurrean dugun errealitateari ateak irekitzeko, Practicum
III-a erabili da. Bertan, alde batetik, behaketa etengabea oinarri izanik, aldez aurretik
zehaztutako ikerketa-helburuak ardatz, datuak bildu eta emaitzak idatzi dira. Hala, ikuspegi
irakaslerekin nahiz zuzendariarekin elkarrizketak oinarri.
Ateratako datu edota ideia anitzak ardatz izaki, hizkuntza aniztasunaren aldeko jarrerak
defendatzen dira nagusiki; euskararekiko sentsibilizazio, afektu eta motibazioa bidelagun
delarik. Aitzitik, beste behin ere, zaindu beharreko zerbait dela ondorioztatu da,
desagerraraztea egiten duten ekintzak alboratzen dituena. Etorkizunari begira jarriz ongi
legoke ikerketa hau berregitea; elkarrizketa pertsona gehiagorengana zabaldu (irakasle zein
familia), eta ikerketa bera egitea; hain zuzen ere, helburu nagusienetako bat euskararen
egoera aztertzea izanik, honen bilakaeraren jarraipen bat egiteak datu eguneratu eta
interesgarri anitz ekarriko lituzke.
[EN] Education and Basque. It is clear that these are two different concepts, since each has its own
meaning and characteristics. But both have always been studied both in the field of
sociolinguistics and in the field of Basque cultural activity. So, they have something in common.
In this sense, these concepts have brought us many controversies in our society, since in the
Basque Autonomous Community education and Basque go hand in hand. That this is so,
nowadays is done on the one hand by the belief that education has to be Euskaldun, but on
the other hand it is also influenced by the objective that children, centered on Euskara, should
be bilingual or multilingual, as multilingualism is becoming more and more important. However,
there are situations in which, for different reasons, the treatment of the Basque language is not
as good as it is thought, perhaps the quality does not reach the required level neither by the
teachers nor by the children. Or perhaps the influence of a giant language such as Spanish is
evident, almost completely stepping on the Basque language. In order to put aside all these concerns and doubts and open the doors to the reality that lies ahead of us, Practicum III has
been used for research reasons. Therefore, data and appropriate answers have been collected
from continuous observation, focused on previously defined research objectives. Thus, to
answer these research questions, a qualitative research design has been used, based on
classroom observations and interviews with two teachers and the school principal.
Focused on the multiple data and/or ideas extracted, attitudes in favor of linguistic diversity are
mainly defended, accompanying awareness, affection and motivation towards the Basque
language. On the contrary, once again the conclusion has been reached that it is something to
be taken care of, obviating the actions that lead to its eradication. Looking ahead, it would be
good to redo this research; open the interview to a greater number of people (teachers and
families) and carry out the same research, since one of the main objectives would be to analyze
the situation of the Basque language, so that monitoring its evolution would provide many
updated and interesting data.
