Mesh refinement algorithm in Matlab

Abstract

The Meshing algorithm generates the required mesh for the laser welding thermal simulation for the model described in the manuscript "NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF A LASER BEAM WELDING PROCESS: From a thermomechanical model to the experimental inspection and validation".

Download the “geo_100x10x2.stl” geometry and the “LaserPath.txt” file and copy them to the same folder as the “Mesh_generation.m” code. Introduce the desired simulation parameters and execute the "Mesh_generation.m" file to generate the mesh in the "geo_100x10x2" geometry according to the "LaserPath" laser trajectory.
