This chapter outlines what has been understood as the political novel in Basque literature in recent years, focusing on narrative works published during the post-crisis. Reading the Basque novels of this period, the author examines the different forms of politicization that have intersected with this narrative, defining the roles that national conflict, feminism, and social class have played in this literary production. The chapter questions the extent to which the novel about the Basque conflict remains political
today. At the same time, it argues that feminism has permeated and transformed the Basque literary field over the last decade.
