El primer exilio de Isabel II visto desde la prensa vasco-francesa (Pau, septiembre- noviembre 1868)

Abstract

This is a well-documented contibution to the exile of Elizabeth II that touches upon its initial phase (Pau, September-November 1868). Indeed, a period not studied so far but that determines and anticipates, to a great extent, the long exile of the queen in Paris for 36 years until her late death in 1904. This study keeps track of that first exile day by day through some available documentary and hemerographic sources (especially those ones related to the press of Pau and the Atlantic Pyrenees Department, a hitherto unused source on the part of historiographers specialized in this issue). In short, new data and information are thus provided to shed some further light on the subject matter.; Documentada aportación al exilio de Isabel II, incidente sobre la etapa inicial del mismo (Pau, septiembre-noviembre de 1868), no estudiada hasta el momento, pero que condiciona y anticipa en sus rasgos básicos el largo exilio de la reina en París durante 36 años hasta su tardío fallecimiento en 1904. Se hace un seguimiento de ese primer exilio día tras día a través de las fuentes documentales y hemerográficas disponibles (y muy especialmente de la prensa de Pau y del Departamento de los Pirineos Atlánticos, fuente no utilizada hasta ahora por la historiografía incidente sobre esta temática), con aportación de nuevos datos e informaciones.
