dc.description.abstractLuminescent coordination polymers have been known since the previous century, but have undergone significant growth from the past decade up to now thanks to their unique ability to emit light. Based on these materials, a new generation of photodevices has started to be developed, mainly in the field of sensors or anti-counterfeiting systems. Most applications of these materials require high intensity and durable light emissions. For this reason, coordination polymers are an appropriate choice owing to their unique metal-organic nature, which allows to be designed in order to show the required photoluminescence properties, and as a consequence, qualify the material for a specific task. It is worth noticing that, during the last few years, coordination polymers have revealed great ability to provide long-lasting light emissions. Therefore, the aim of this work is to explain how luminescent coordination polymers, and mainly those exhibiting long-lasting phosphorescence, are built by explaining the mechanisms involved in such emissions.; Koordinazio polimero luminiszenteek arrakasta handia jaso dute aurreko hamarkadatik gaur egun arte, hauek erakusten duten argi-igorpen gaitasun paregabeei esker. Material horiekin, gailu argitsuen arloan belaunaldi berri bat garatzen hasi da, bereziki sentsore edo biltegiratze-optikoen alorrean sistema hobeak sortzeko. Material hauen aplikazio gehienek intentsitate handiko igorpenak edota igorpen iraunkorrak edukitzera behartzen dute. Zentzu horretan, koordinazio polimeroak aukera egokiak dira, haien izaera metal-organikoa dela eta, beraien egitura kristalinoa nahi diren propietate fotoluminiszenteak erakusteko diseinatu daitezke, horrela eginkizun zehatz batera bideratzeko. Azpimarratzekoa da azken urteetan ikusi egin dela koordinazio polimeroek iraupen luzeko argi-igorpenak emateko gaitasuna daukatela. Beraz, lan honetan koordinazio polimero luminiszenteak, eta bereziki, argi igorpen fosforeszenteak ematen dituztenak nola eraiki eta bertan gertatzen diren fenomenoak azaltzea dauka helburu nagusitzat.
