Techno, repetición y trabajo

Abstract

En la música techno contemporánea se da una búsqueda de nuevas categorías temporales de escucha. El aformalismo de los interminables y extremadamente cargados flujos de notas choca frontalmente con la aparente simplicidad de las repeticiones mecánicas a modo de loops. Sin embargo, bajo este aparente antagonismo se muestra una voluntad común de buscar un discurso que trascienda la narratividad, linealidad y teleología del discurso musical tradicional que renuncia a la referencia a la globalidad en pro del momento presente, y llevada a cabo a través del trabajo sistemático con repeticiones cortas, que focalizan de forma análoga el discurso sobre el fragmento repetido, desvinculándolo del todo al que pertenece.; In contemporary techno music there is a search for new temporal listening categories. The anti-formalism / non-formalism of the endless and extremely heavy flow of notes clashes with the apparent simplicity of the mechanical loop-like repetitions. However, beneath this apparent antagonism is a common striving for a discourse that transcends the narrative modes, the linearity and the teleology of the traditional musical discourse, that relinquishes the reference to the whole in favour of the present moment by means of a systematic work with short repetitions that focus the discourse on the repeated fragment, thus setting it apart from the whole it belongs to.
