Proteina matrizelularren inplikazioa gaixotasun neuropsikiatrikoetan, hevin proteinan zentratuta

Abstract

Proteina matrizelularrak zelulaz kanpoko matrizeko (ZKM) moleku-lak dira, zeinek beste ZKMko molekuletatik bereizten dituzten funtzio espezifikoak baitituzte. Adibidez, zelulen funtzioa modulatzen dute eta gaitasun desitsaskorrak dituzte, besteak beste. Azkenengo urteetan, hainbat molekulek proteina matrizelularren ezaugarriak betetzen dituztela ikusi da, eta horien parte-hartzea nabarmenduz joan da gaixotasun neuropsikiatrikoetan. Lan honetan, alde batetik, proteina matrizelularren ezaugarriak eta talde honetako partaide nagusien funtzio garrantzitsuenak azalduko dira. Eta, bestetik, gehiago sakonduko da hevin proteina matrizelularraren funtzioetan, gaixotasun neuropsikiatrikoetan duen inplikazioa aipatuz.; Matricellular proteins are extracellular matrix molecules (ECM),with specific functions that distinguish them from other ECM molecules. For example, they modulate cell function and have de-adhesive properties, among others. In the last years, several molecules have been found to meet the characteristics of matricellular proteins, together with increasing evidences showing their involvement in neuropsychiatric diseases. In the present work, the characteristics of matricellular proteins and the most important functions of the main members of this group are explained, with focuse on the hevin protein functions and its involvement in neuropsychiatric diseases.
