La Casa Alfaro-Fournier: La pintoresca villa ajardinada del primer ensanche de Vitoria-Gasteiz

Abstract

The aim of this article is to study the Alfaro-Fournier House, the last remaining garden villa of the 19th century-expansion of Vitoria-Gasteiz. In the following lines, an attempt has been made to contextualize, describe and evaluate this protected heritage, in addition to clarifying the complicated urban situation in which it is today. The deliberation and reformulation of the new framework established by the city council will allow us to approach the difficulties that afflict historic cities, which need to find the balance between heritage conservation and urban development; El presente artículo abordará el estudio de la Casa Alfaro-Fournier, la última villa ajardinada que resta en el ensanche decimonónico de Vitoria-Gasteiz. Para ello, se procederá a contextualizar, describir y valorar este bien patrimonial protegido, además de exponer la complicada situación urbanística en la que se inserta hoy día. Asimismo, la deliberación y reformulación del nuevo marco de actuación municipal permitirá aproximarnos a las problemáticas que afligen a las ciudades históricas, tan necesitadas de encontrar el equilibrio entre la conservación del patrimonio y el desarrollo urbano.; Artikulu honen helburua Alfaro-Fournier Etxea aztertzea da, Gasteizko XIX. mendeko zabalgunean geratzen den azken lorategi-etxea, hain zuzen ere. Hurrengo lerroetan, babestutako ondarearen testuingurua, deskribapena eta balorazioa eskainiko da, baita bere hirigintza-egoera argitu ere. Halaber, udalak duela gutxi onetsitako neurriak eztabaidatu eta birplanteatuko dira. Horrela, hiri historikoek pairatzen dituzten zailtasunetara hurbilduko gara, ondarearen kontserbazioaren eta hiri-garapenaren arteko oreka behar dela nabarmenduz.
