This is an English adaptation of six video tutorials originally called "Serie Vídeos tutoriales‐conceptos básicos en Fonología Natural" in Spanish. It could be used in basic phonological courses. I present some of the basic concepts of Natural Phonology, a theory proposed, in modern version, by Patricia Donegan and David Stampe (University of Hawaii at Manoa): the phonological processes, classified by context-dependence (contextual and acontextual) and functions (prosodic, lenitive and fortitive), the phoneme, the mor(pho)phonological rules and the influence of this theory in researching language variation.es
