Efecto de las estatinas en la regulación de miRNA en hepatoma

Abstract

[ES] En el presente estudio se han analizado los niveles de expresión de diferentes microRNA (miR-122, miR-33a y miR-27b) en células tanto hepáticas (HepG2) como pancreáticas (PANC-1) en respuesta al tratamiento con estatinas de tipo 1 (sinvastatina y pravastatina) y tipo 2 (atorvastatina y rosuvastatina) durante 24 y 48 horas. De esta forma, se pretende establecer una relación entre la sobreexpresión de los miRNA provocada por el tratamiento con estatinas y los posibles efectos secundarios asociados a dicho tratamiento como puede ser diabetes mellitus tipo 2.

[EN] In this study, the expression levels of some different miRNAs (miR-122, miR-33a and miR-27b) both in hepatic (HepG2) and pancreatic cells (PANC-1) under treatment of type 1 statins (simvastatin and pravastatin) and type 2 (atorvastatin and rosuvastatin) for 24 and 48 hours have been analyzed. Thereby, the objective is to stablish a relation between the over expression of those miRNAs caused by the statine treatment and some of the side effects associated to that treatment as diabetes mellitus type 2.
