This research has been conducted by personal eagerness and curiosity about Basque farmhouse. Knowing and understanding the Basque farmhouse architecture, involves knowing where we come from, and therefore where we are, and teaches us the tools to decide where we should go. This paper has analysed the Ikazuriaga farmhouse, a small farmhouse located in the region of Urdaibai, an exemplary of those they call the interest on sight. To visit it, it was obtained the permission from the Ikazuriaga family. By analysing this construction, the opportunity to understand the farmhouse arises. To the extent that it is a research, this work has the purpose to document and publicize the analysis of Ikazuriaga farmhouse, which could be the founder of the area. To do this, among the different chapters in which has been worked, assumptions were made, to identify times that has lived the farmhouse, from its origins until today. Also, interventions that Ikazuriaga have suffered will be classified and these will be related to different periods or phases. It will be compared with typologies which are already documented. It has also been an objective to realise the plans of the Ikazuriaga farmhouse and document it by text and photographs.
