dc.description.abstract | [EN] In this article we offer an overview of some of the modern authors (specially Tennyson, Swinburne, V. Woolf, G. Moore, C.K. Stead, and Anne Carson), who have given new life to the subject of direct greeting to the deceased, from 101 of Catullus’ carmen, whose verse 10 still has a particular success, supported by the effectiveness of the brevity in the expression of sadness and by a strong and emotional simplicity of form, accessible and recognizable even when knowledge of the Latin language is not remarkable. | en |
