¿Del estilo paleolítico a la cronología contemporánea?: Una (revisión) nueva versión del arte parietal de la cueva de El Becerral (La Gándara, Cantabria)

Abstract

[ES] Se realiza una revisión actualizada de los dibujos negros de estilo paleolítico de la cueva de El Becerral. Se presentan datos analíticos (AMS y series de Uranio) y se discuten diversas argumentaciones (emplazamiento, contexto arqueológico, información oral, descubrimiento e historiografía, estilo, posición de los dibujos respecto al soporte, implantación espacial, conservación, técnica y aspecto) relativas al proceso de autentificación. Se concluye que las manifestaciones gráficas son muy recientes, por lo que la cavidad de El Becerral no debe ser incorporada en los corpus de cuevas con arte parietal paleolítico.

[EN] We present the up-to-date revision of the black drawings of Palaeolithic style of Becerral’s cave. We present the analytic data (AMS and Uranium series) and discuss arguments (location, archaeological context, oral information, discovery and historiography, style, spatial situation of the figures in the cave, conservation, technique and aspect) about the authentication of the figures. The study concludes that the artistic motives are moderns. For this reason the Becerral’s cave should not be considerate a cave with Palaeolithic art.
