Abstract

[EN] The text that is considered to be the first edition of Axular's "Gero" is the one published in 1643 in Bordeaux by Guillaume Milanges. However, this edition has some characteristics which are not very wide-known, as well as some printing mistakes that were subsequently corrected by hand in some copies (but not in all of them). The purpose of this article is first of all to fix the exact number of all those copies that are scattered all over the world; secondly, to identify their general characteristics; and finally, to present the problems caused by the corrections added by hand in some of the copies before the publication of the first edition.
