Sobre El estado de la cuestión un ensayo performativo (2015) de Helena Cabello y Ana Carceller: una lectura procesual de sus elementos constitutivos

Abstract

This article refers to the work of Helena Cabello & Ana Carceller shown at the 56th Venice Biennale (2015). In it, according to the curatorial proposal, the artists refer to the figure of Salvador Dalí. The project crystallized in an instalation that includes both a video and the presentation of certain items, quotes and symbolic objects that structure the audiovisual frame. Thus, referring to the enigmatic relationship of the artist with the mysterious Amanda Lear, Cabello & Carceller display multiple references that refer to the construction of identity and the political capacity of the drag as a space for the realization of dissent.

Este artículo se refiere al trabajo de Helena Cabello & Ana Carceller mostrado en la 56 Bienal de Venecia (2015). En él, según propuesta comisarial, las artistas se refieren a la figura de Salvador Dalí. El proyecto cristaliza en una instalación que comprende tanto un video como la presentación de ciertos elementos, citas y objetos simbólicos que estructuran la trama audiovisual. Así, aludiendo a la enigmática relación del artista con la misteriosa Amanda Lear, Cabello & Carceller despliegan múltiples referencias que remiten a la construcción identitaria y la capacidad política de lo drag como espacio para la realización de disidencias.
