Al rescate de la verificación periodística

Abstract

This article shows the value of verification in the journalistic area through some examples and, especially, through arguments of foreign and Spanish, both classic and current authors. Two obstacles are exposed: those that hinder the achievement of verification and those that justify the absence of this discipline. A relevant point of reflection is the absence of a unique method for the journalistic test. Finally, it is raised the importance of this essential element of the journalistic profession in the area of social media.; Este artículo muestra el valor de la verificación en el periodismo a través de algunos ejemplos y, sobre todo, de argumentos de autores extranjeros y españoles, tanto clásicos como actuales. Se exponen los obstáculos principales para su ejercicio o que justifican la ausencia de esta disciplina. Un punto relevante de reflexión es la ausencia de un método único para la verificación periodística.
