Abstract

[EN] This lecture focuses on the relevance of Eucharistic tabemacles as specimens of microarchitecture, which, equally to the architecture, were essentially vested. Firstly, they were equipped with sculptures that represent an iconographical programme. Secondly, they were lined with a skin that was gilded and poly chromed in order to highlight their sacred character. And lastly, they were clothed with textiles as a means to reinforce their magnificence and sense of mystery.
