La Peste en la Edad Media y Moderna, el caso de Vitoria.

Abstract

[ES] Este artículo tiene por fin aportar una visión de conjunto, desde las ciencias sociales, sobre las epidemias de peste que sufrió la ciudad de Vitoria entre los siglos XIV y XVII. De forma que pueda servir de contextualización histórica al colectivo de investigadores de áreas científicas que reavivan el interés de la Peste desde campos novedosos como la paleoclimatología, la arqueología o las técnicas de ADN antiguo, sin olvidar la actual consideración de enfermedad reemergente.

Horrela, eremu berritzaileetatik hala nola, paleoklimatologia, arkeologia edo antzinako DNA teknikak, gaixotasunaren beragerpenaren ardura ahaztu gabe, izurritearen interesa berpizten duten eremu zientifikoetako ikertzaileentzako testuinguru historiko gisa balio ahal izango du.

[EN] This article aims to provide an overview, from the social sciences, about the plague epidemics that the city of Vitoria suffered between the 14th and 17th centuries. So that it can serve as a historical contextualization to the collective of researchers from scientific areas that rekindle the interest of the Plague from new fields such as paleoclimatology, archeology or ancient DNA techniques, without forgetting the current consideration of re-emerging disease.
