Abstract
Spanish fluvial hydromorphology works have been developed in the present century and have been
approached for the most part from Physical Geography. This science provides an integral perspective of all of its factors, elements and fluvial dynamics processes, being very useful for river diagnoses and the proposal
of protection and restoration actions. The contributions of Physical Geography to an applied fluvial hydromorphology are synthesized in characterization, analysis, cartography and interpretation of processes, changes, impacts and trends, assessment indexes, training, geo-heritage, management and conservation in planification, risk mitigation, restoration, monitoring. All of it will be a relevant employment opportunity and source of research projects for Spanish Physical Geography.
